no i have mcafee 2005 but the subsription is out so i bought 2006 which was cheaper than upgrading which worked fine on my pc. But on the laptop says kaspersky is on there and i need to get rid first as it clashes.

    AB 000 reg_sz personal pro

Ok was told of another utility which may help may not and that is on this link http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;290301

with the registry cleaned you should be OK but looks like still traces there

you may have some luck with registry mechanic

another option is to download the KASPERSKY AV trial version install that cleanly then remove via add/remove
