o2 Data Usage

My friend went onto o2 this morning, he chose the unlimited data bolt on which it seems came into effect at 12pm. But how can they of charged him £6 for browsing on his phone for a matter of about an hour?

Does anyone know how much o2 Charge for data on pay as you go?:j

Did he get a bolt on or just pay and go data allowance?

The bolt on with o2 (last time I was with them) costs £7.50 a month (or £5 is you take it out from beginning of a contract). Both can be cancelled.
  • He has the bolt on, but before it came into action (so to speak) they charged him £6.

How can they justify charging £3 per 1mb of data?? it's outrageous.. !

Thats normal if you do not have monthly bolt on. If he used the phone for net before the bolt on came into affect, you basically get mugged - standard with all networks.

Hence I never use internet and only ever applied for bolt on with o2 for a month (as it was desperately needed to get on net whilst at work for private email usage).

Look on the bright side, he will only be paying £7.50 from now on a month. But still be beware of the fair usage policy.
