OK it's time to replace my phone and I am going to try Mobiles.co.uk (yes I have read ALL the threads about them - but I am willing to give them a go).

So the big question is do I go for a Tocco Lite or LG Cookie.

They have an offer with Orange:

Dolphin 30 with £10 discount - 600 mins any network

The Tocco Lite comes with 12 months free via cashback
The LG Cookie comes with 14 months free via cashback

So £40 difference over the 2 year period.

Which would you choose?

  • I have chosen (on PAYG) Tocco Lite as I believe it to be a better phone for following reasons
    1) newer phone therefore more up to date technology
    2) less returns due to faults (only know of O2 network and dropped calls issue with Tocco)
    3) difficulties using LG phones with Vista

    I stress that these are the reasonings I have come up with that helped make my decision but I'm sure others will have their own opinions and I have to say it was a tough decision but in end didn't want to take risk with Cookie. Oh, have to say this was for my daughter who wanted the cookie 'because everyone else had it'. Difficult one to overcome but at end of day, I would be one going back with phone if we got a duff one.

    HTH

    (although may be told differently on subsequent postings).
    If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

    Just seen this deal on Mobiles.co.uk - too good to be true?

    Samsung Tocco Lite
    Vodafone Your plan 300 - 300 minutes + unlimited texts
    £10 discount (reduces bill to £15/month)
    13 months free via cashback

    So 24 x £15 = £360

    Cashback 13 x £15 = £195
    Quidco = £40
    Sale of old Nokia 8800 = £35
    Total = £270

    So total bill is £90 for 24 months, or £3.75 / month

    So apart from the cashback (I have read ALL the threads about Mobiles.co.uk) are there any other catches?

    Id go for the Tocco Lite, mainly because the Cookie feels cheap, the touchscreen is crap, and it also has too many faults to bother mentioning here
