    Hi Newfold

Maybe by requesting a subject access request, if you had these accounts running over the last 6 years there are chances that they should still hold the information, if they do not the payment you make for this request they should return to you.
    SAR template here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553
The £10 will cover for everything such as all the finance you have had through them.

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)

What was the name of the garage?

If they were the ones who sold you the finance then yes it should be them, but if they are no longer active you may have problems in requesting a SAR, but depending if the business were taken over or not as well, you can always contact The Financial compensation scheme (FSCS) just to check if they have them listed with them, just to be sure here:

Found the address here and if the same one, they are still active, so you can always write to them and see if they come back with anything.

If you used different companies then you request the SAR separately, but if all with the same garage then you just request the SAR with them.;)

For example, if you purchased say 3 cars from the same garage who sold you the finance, then that SAR request will cover for all, so only £10 is required, payable by cheque or postal order.;)

If you can track down the tel number of that garage involved, I would give them a quick call, just to make sure they can provide the data (SAR).
Ask them who do you address the letter to.
