Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download:idea:0 -

Here is a tip:
1) Uninstall AVG
2) Goto: http://www.microsoft.com/Security_essentials/
3) Download the appriopriate version for your windows
4) Do a full scan and be grateful in the knowledge you are using one of the better if not best antivirus/malware programs that is currently available for free.0 -
just started up my laptop again. security alert icon gone, but all my pictures have gone also im left with a black desktop with icons whats happened? im not convinced that the trojan has gone. i will try again tomorrow and see whether it as come back.0

3) Download the appriopriate version for your windows
4) Do a full scan and be grateful in the knowledge you are using one of the better if not best antivirus/malware programs that is currently available for free.
Been using the beta version of this for a while on Windows 7 - I can definitely recommend it. Amazing software considering its free. Well done Microsoft (for a change).0 -
tried to uninstall avg but windows said no. so went to restore centre its saying that avg was uninstalled and removed but the computer says its working ok. i don't know what to believe if i had a virus that is affecting my security do i believe what im seeing.
ive still got no pictures coming up for my desktop when i go into my program for desktop appearences i get a white square until i run my cursor over it then it turns into a light blue square where the pictures should be if i ask for preview it shows up in my picture gallery so they are in there someplace.0 -
can anyone help please. my desktop and pictures are still missing even though my trojan seems to have gone and im still running avg.0

right click AVG and shut the thing down from running then run combofix:idea:0

To disable the Resident Shield, please:
- open AVG User Interface
- double-click on the Resident Shield
- un-tick the option "Resident Shield active"
- save the changes
