  • Never seen the curry sauce but will look for it now - would be great for a base - is it a indian cook sauce in a jar? or is it in a bottle with the ketchups?

It's like chip shop curry sauce - it's nothing like an Indian curry sauce.

I would never let that product touch my lips, as i said before for 4p, you have to wonder about the quality of the ingredients! Plus i don't like curry sauce!

I prefer Indian food and it really irks me when people mix up Indian and Chinese food!!!

I love this curry sauce (thanks MSE!). But it is too hot for me (korma is at the top end of my spicy-tolerance ) I add tomatoes and other veggies, and then a good dollop of natural yog towards the end (or milk if I'm skint).

Haven't tried the competitors' offerings. And I've not heard of the sweet and sour before today, but I'll look for it now :D

In my Tesco it is in the same place as all the other tins and jars of curry sauce, but right down on the bottom shelf and often pushed back so its not easy to spot.

I tried it yesterday for the first time, following recommenations from this site. It was ok, not great but not disgusting either, certainly worth 4p. I added it to lightly fried cubed onions, potatoes, carrots, sweet potato and chicken. Was a bit spicy for me so I wish I'd read the dollop of yogurt suggestion earlier!
  • 4 pence, and you need to ask! :-)
