  • No such thing as cellulite anyway. It was invented way back in the 1920's by either Revlon or Estee Lauder (Can't remember which one) to promote their new range of body creams.

It's just the way that the fat is distributed in your thighs and there is no known cure. As a previous poster said - even skinny women have the dimples!

When do you ever see a thin woman in old paintings from the victorian era or previous? This fat thing is hardly a new thing, its just the war made us eat less. Now were back to stuffing ourselves silly.

It also depends on what kinda holiday youre on, if youre in Turkey where the World and his mother goes then im sure you going to see the poorer end of the tourism market, go to Monte Carlo and im sure you would see some very different people.
  • Vixarooni has it down. I think the OP's experience of Marmaris says an awful lot more about that resort than it does about Brits in general.

If you want to be really revolted just go to the US where even clinically obese pensioners think it's OK to wear shorts off the beach. BLECH!

See - nice healthy bum and no cellulite!!! If you sit down and squish it all up then of course it's going to dimple!

Ive touched a few too many feminine sides in my time:D
Im up here for the health part not the fashion but since we were invaded. There may be a few poofs on the fashion threads but largely men are not a gullible as women so dont fall for all the fashion marketing. We see it , like it wear it we dont carry out a survey to see what others think first.:rotfl:
Women wouldnt like it if they wore something a few times and it fell to bits so marketing changes the fashion every few months instead so that the vain and gullible will part with more money:rotfl:
Who I am is not important. What I do is.

Please Bounder don't start that one again :rotfl:

So when I see some hefty folk in Brum city centre does that make me Northen ;)

Lynzpower - I find your post pretty disappointing and judgmental. I worked with a girl who was a size 6. She ate nothing but McDonalds and chips EVERYDAY - so although on your scale she'd be "healthy" (not only was her belly taut it was none existant) I bet her poor ateries would say a differing thing. Yes being overweight IS an issue but lets not forget there are plenty of skinny people out there who eat a terrible diet - Supersize vs Superskinny would be a case in point.

But then again it's easy to demonise those that are overweight as it's easy to spot
