Since being with my OH i have shot up from a consistent 34b to 38G not that he complains however i do cos its so hard to find non granny comfortable fitting undies.

I have the other problem, all underwear looks like its come from the kids section of M&S, OH finds it un-nerving he can't tell difference between my 12 yo daughters and my undies :rotfl::rotfl:
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • I will be after the not-so-sexy sucking in, smoothing down & boosting up underwear during the day, but will definitely changing into something a little less comfy later (with the stockings - mine kills for those too:rotfl:)

Not chosen a dress yet, but getting everything to stay in the right place (I'm a reasonably "blessed" 34E at last measure) is the priority. Bit concerned undies will end up costing more than the dress:eek:

Im a bra fitter and i love fitting ladies into bridal bits! If it were me i would go for comfort first. Youre probably going to wear the dress all day, and wearing a big dress all day isnt common place to start with, so i think comfortable underwear is probably a must! I would go and get fitted, but not too advanced because you can change quite often and put on weight/lose it ect.

Corsets look pretty but in my experience they have a tendency to buckle. I've never had an expensive one but the ones that are 35 pounds plus do whenever i sit down, and then i want to move it over my little tummy bulge all the time. They are also hard to fit right because what fits around the waist might be too loose in the bust bit. Also they are very warm to wear so if its a summer wedding it might be a bit too layered.

Knickers, i would go large with, shorties that sort of thing. Suspenders i would think hard about.... probably better than hold ups but perhaps not as comfortable as tights! I would maybe experiment first and see what you feel you could manage for a whole day and go from there!

Advice gratefully received! I need to drastically reduce the size of my outer thighs to match the rest of my measurements. So my bust, waist and hips are UK 6 (!) but the widest bit at the top of my legs are an 8. I was persuaded to go with a 6 but the dress is slimline and now I'm losing a vast amount of sleep worrying about my jodphur thighs preventing the dress draping nicely.

I've found the Spanx body shaper but it reaches right up the bra but I'd prefer something from waist to mid-thigh, skin coloured and with no bulges where it stops at the thigh.

Does anyone know of a really good thigh holder-in which doesn't create bulges?

P.S. It's bra-less for me, and sheer tights. Have been with husband-to-be for a while, he'll be helping me to get in the dress on the morning of the wedding at the same time as sorting 4 children out, and I think stockings and suspenders will be the last thing on his mind!

When I go out for a night out, i tend to buy some tights from Sainsburys that have the sucking in material up the top, and also suck the thighs in also. They are £5 for 2 so worth spending £5 on to see if they're right for you. :) if not then you have some tights for nights out. :D

  • Anyhoo just in case you wanna know it's one of these http://www.lingerieexpress.co.uk/Stunning-Tapestry-Strapless-Corset.html not sure I'd wanna be much bigger chested than I am though. Plenty of support for me, not sure about anyone a little larger. Could have done with mebbe a size smaller than I am as well - so the laces showed up more :) but then I like the laces strappy bit :rotfl:

Look at me go...a real MSE

They seem to be just over £20 on ebay :D

  • Well girlies you have all been very busy.

I think I will go for shorties as they are most comfortable, but I am loving the idea of gettig changed into something sexier later! I don't think I am going to wear tights, although it will be winter, because my shoes are peep toe and I can stand seeing the tight end poking through iykwim!

I still have no idea about which bra!!! I did like the thought of a cordet and some seem cheaper than bras, but I really don't want to be uncomfortable maybe I could get one to change into later on!!
