Knickers!!

Hi Girls!! How are you all doing?

I was wndering which bras and knickers you have all gone for to go under your wedding dress. I am a c cup and don't want a corset but need something that will give a good cleavage. I haven't a clue what to buy and was wondering if a bra with liquid or gel cups would be better. Also the one I get has to be strapless but I often find strapless bras dig in, and I can't be dne with being uncomfortable all day lol!!

Also which type of knickers are best? I'm not sure if it should be the short type or something a bit more sexy iykwim!! ;)

Which brands are the best for moneysaving and comfort and of course quality?

  • I'm a big girl (hopefully to be a bit smaller by the wedding lol) however I think slinky bridal underwear is off the cards something to pull me in seems much more likely! Thinking about a gok wan corselette slinky thingy from simply be that I can wear a mutiway bra with. That way I can still wear stockings as is has clips on it

  • I have absolutely no idea! & I'm so glad you've started this thread tiger.

My dress is taffeta and quite slim fitting until just below the hips so i think im going to have trouble finding underwear that you're not going to see the lines of. although im quite big busted i was thinking of not wearing a bra as my corset holds me in/up pretty well! but do you think OH will be disappointed that i havent got something slinky on underneath?! Why is there so much to think about!!!!!

This is what i have had for under my dress. When i put it on on saturday for my dress fitting the assistant said i had lost inches from my waist so i have had to have my dress taken in further, so it proves the right undies do the job. I know its not the cheapest on the market but it fits so comfortably.

  • I don't know, but whatever it is, will have to have suspenders and stockings as the other half kills for them...annoyingly I like the underwear that just sucks you in and shows no lumps and bumps...annoyingly again they don't do sexy versions of it.
What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..
  • Oh good thread!
I won't be wearing a bra with my dress, when they first told me i won't need a bra, I said no chance my bra is staying, I couldn't believe how well my dress holds everything in place!
I'm going with the stockings and suspenders for OH would much perfer something abit more comfy though!!
    :xmassmile Looking forward to December:xmassmile
  • I'm glad its not just my OH who wants the stockings out! but to be honest I can't think of anything more un-comfortable to wear. Hopefully I won't be wearing a bra and will be having big knickers on underneath. I'm thinking about getting a little cami set and having my married name on the back or something the OH might like, like 'wifey' ?

I'm not thinking about my undies yet - what's concerning me is whether OH will or won't under his kilt ;)...he doesn't usually, but our venue has a lovely staircase and several steps outside, where it is always windy!

  • Cripes I've already bought mine!!!
I've not even been measured for a dress yet!

When my step mum got married (in a Hoooooooge flouncey scarlet wedding dress - talk of the town back then, not white? scarlet? OMG! :rotfl:)

She had her first measurement and fitting in the same bra - old grey hold you in but not so shexy... you know the type, we've all got em ;)
Anyway when she had the second fitting she had different underwear on and the dress didnt fit the same. So the upshot was she had to get married in the grey old granny bra.
I'm sure it's not like that for everyone, I mean the woman has mountainous boobage, mahooosive.
I'm only a humble C cup but it kinda haunts me so, undies first.

Anyhoo just in case you wanna know it's one of these http://www.lingerieexpress.co.uk/Stunning-Tapestry-Strapless-Corset.html not sure I'd wanna be much bigger chested than I am though. Plenty of support for me, not sure about anyone a little larger. Could have done with mebbe a size smaller than I am as well - so the laces showed up more :) but then I like the laces strappy bit :rotfl:
