    No, forum etiquette states:-

Take care over copyright. Use excerpts and links rather than copying long text. This site asserts copyright on all comments posted on the board.

    Ruthha,

You clearly quotes another member yesterday on this thread showing the cashback this member was awaiting. You didn't say you had Data Protection Act 1998 (http://www.opsi.gov.uk/Acts/Acts1998/ukpga_19980029_en_1) clearence from the user to use the quote.

Also, the Quidco representative warned you yesterday about the use of other users information without their expressed permission.

I don't have a problem with you but I do have a problem with the way you try to twist the law to suit the argument you are trying to make.

    Ruthha,

Thank you for clearing up the matter regarding the Data Protection Act, as you had not previously statement that this has been done. Thus giving the impression that you were going to breach the Act.

How did you get on with contacting the merchants?

I can understand your frustation as not being given the cashback you expect but I can't see why you had to get your solicitor involved which is actually a simple matter of maths. I personally would not have contacted Quidco till mid November as the tracking period would have been over by then.

I know the tracking process can be frustrating and so can the ticketing system but all members should contact Quidco direct because the member has the relationship with them and not you.

As pointed out before this is a vent and praise board so I came to praise.

Cashback is a gift and not a right when you use Quidco as pointed out before so being owed money from clicking cashback links does not guarantee the merchant will pay. Yes the majority do pay and there are those merchants who are just cheeky and think your getting some only to take it away later on.

I hope you enjoy your lunch. I hope your not driving later as a "bottle" of red may put you over the legal limit for driving and we would not want to be arguing over the Road Traffic Act.

Fighting for rights ruthha is frowned upon as you have noticed, not like your own homeland I'm afraid.
The English (most) would rather spend hours slating someone rather than standing up..............this is England. ;)

Hopefully you get it sorted out at the meeting and the cashback starts flowing normally for you. I use my cashback for helping to pay down by CC bills.

It may be wise to provide a reference for the information you gave Ruthha otherwise MSE could be in trouble for Copyright rules.

  • Hey, I joined the Quidclan "Moan Zone" today and my Co-op has gone from validated to received in less than 6 hours since I posted my annoyance.

Surely too much of a co-incidence for them not to be related after all this time?

Give it a go, you've nothing to lose.
