Its a wood fired tv and he says something like - 'Bioenergy TV - I love it!'

LT well done on OH getting job

RANT ALERT - ignore me - grr grr My 'friends of OH dont really know them can you do us DB&B' guests have gone leaving me the princely sum of £6.50 per person per night for dinner b and b - I fear this just about covers my costs but ONLY just - cheeky barstewards - I was supposed to be 'cheaper than staying in a hotel' accomodation - not 'take the michael accommodation' so having fed them and looked after them I now get the joy of remaking my own bed, cleaninng my own room again, (emptied the bin (DONT ASK) doing all the laundry for 6 towels, and a king sized bed.

So glad I bothered - OH isn't happy either - you live and learn - the phrase 'just leave us a voucher for what you think is reasonable - I normally charge £25pppn - but I dont expect that much' should have been a bit clearer I fear - its my own fault.

EXCUSE THE RANT......I even baked every morning for them in true before work hobbit style:rotfl:

Actually Fay, it seems to me like they took the p*** and you've every right to have a rant. Rant away!

Today has been an emotional one for me as little T had his first day (well, afternoon) at school. Can't believe my little boy is now a big boy! The first thing he said as he came out was 'I love school' so it must've gone well!:D

    1) Went to work ( but only for a couple of hours as it is a special day)
    2) Took mouldy tortelloni back to the shop and they refunded and replaced it.
    3) LSD - just bread, milk etc. But I paid with my refund so maybe that counts as a NSD?
    4) Made a soup for lunch out of left over veg and lentils.
    5) Hokey cokey.
    6) Established ground rules with T about the ice cream van waiting at school gates. Only on a Friday! I think it pays to sort these things out sooner rather than later.
    7) Checked bank, quidco etc
    8) Online survey.

    Have a good evening!

  • Hi L - thanks I feel like a raving ungrateful lunatic! Maybe I am just so much more aware of money and costs. I guess if I can use the Mr T vouchers for BOGOF things then I can feel happier with the result as it will double the voucher they left.

Glad little T went off to school and loved it - think you are right about the ice-cream van!

Well done on getting your pasta back to shop and having a NSD I think it counts as that :)

That's a good philosophical way of looking at it! And no, you are not ungrateful - you did them the favour, not the other way around!

Hi All - small things for me today:
    - another No Spend Day (over my target for the month)
    - all scratchies and clicks done
    - checked online banking .... now that's a huge issue. I have no idea how - as the account is a basic one and had NO overdraft facility - but the flaming thing tells me that I am £169 in DEBIT !!! If that is true (and it has been known to fib to me previously) then I have a problem. I still have the £40 cash to get me to payday (28th) but how the **** have the bank let that happen ?? I'll check again in the morning and see if it's changed, but am really messed up if it's real
    - checked for freebies
    - worked hard for my pennies at the office
    - did some surveys - woohoo!
    - moved £7 to P**pal from a survey site
    - tea from stores
    - washed 1 set of sofa covers on low temp and drying over bannisters
    - used freebie toiletries in the shower

Am off to continue swearing re: the bank thing.
    Have a good evening all

Aiming to be debt-free, and have my degree, by 50 ! :j
