When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Morning all!
Day off for me today - my last Wed of doing nothing until I start college next week...eeek:eek:
I'm going to take DD2 to school then go straight to Tesco, armed with my list. Then, I will have a rest - I'm so tired and we're only at the start of the school term....:D

List for today:
  • check banking
  • daily scratchies
  • Tesco shopping with list (written from meal plan)
  • done girls packed lunches and drinks

  • hope my purple shiny laptop arrives today (but if it does it'll be at school so will have to go get it:rolleyes:)
Fay - laptop is a Dell....I'm very excited about it;)

Ok, have a lovely day everyone:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Milly - I'm envious of the laptop. My favourite advert on tv is the Dell one...I want a lime green one..sob!!

    Trying to be productive today but lookee here, 10am and still sat in front of the computer!!:eek:

    So:

    * Dinner from Freezer
    * Lunch from cupboard
    * Hung washing out to dry
    * Charge mobile at work
    * Check on-line banking :eek:
    * Pop to shop WITH list and WILL stick to it!:rolleyes:
    * Heating off - just make piglet run around to keep warm!:rotfl:
    * Drive to mums at 50-60mph - saves fuel (I've even taken to coasting down the very large hill that leads to her town...how sad is that!?)
    * Put spare change in holiday savings pot
    * Turn all unnessecarry plugs off when not using.
    * Look at ways to save money during winter (I'm a bu**er for having my heating on a lot and need to cut down on that this year - any ideas gratefully received!!!)
