hedwen,
wouldn't it be better to calculate how much per month you can afford to pay.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

Yes but having done this it means I will not reach the target I need to achieve.
If I can get a loan and reduce the monthly target for prioritised bills then I may have a little breathing space for an advanced start on saving for year 2, if that figures out ???
Thanks0 -
when is the next years payment due? - just reread your earlier posting
how far of target would you be, if you started saving x amount now?
would they take part payment in advance....? ie you save for 6 months, then make part payment, then another 6 months of saving....
I am just thinking from the point of view, whether the people you have to pay will look at it favourably to have part of the money up front, then give you some leeway to find the rest
just seen your other thread, all Q & A's are there

Is it too late to pull out of the park home?
£4000 a year for site fees is a lot.
The £20K your inlaws are paying for a mobile home could equate to rent payments on your existing house of £350 per month for 5 years.Add on £350 per month(your £4000 site fees) and you could rent your own house back off them for £700 per month.0 -
Yes it is too late. We have already moved.
Anyhow the inlaws need to rent the house out for the estimated minimum rental income of £500 which the lettings agency has quoted as it is actually to pay for the nan-in-law to stay in a care home.
All very complicated I know but we are happier where we are and are already slowly starting to sort out our finances. We were going to get a loan for the 1st years site fees but we lost yet another park home but managed to purchase outright a better but cheaper one thus leaving us just enough money to pay the 1st years site fees from the £20,000. So the other need for a loan was to pay off debts from our OLD bank account and I have spoken to Lloyds collections agency and agreed we will pay £20 per month minimum to reduce the debt and on Tuesday shall set up a standing order for this to be done automatically so we don't forget to pay.
::) Now the only immediate problems we have to sort out are running a business without a landline (we arn't allowed to instal one in the park home) thus we need a new mobile (a way our customers can be happy to call it at the cost of calls to mobiles these days) and an internet connection else we would lose out on our web bookings.
Were getting there though, thans for asking!

i understand that you dont believe you can play the £4k site fees, but i think you would be mad to get any sort of loan, cc etc to pay them. yes it may work out cheaper/ easier, but i think you and i know that once you start to accumulate debt again in any shape or form it is a slippery slope.
im sorry because i know that this is not what you want to hear, but i am speaking from experience.
i am so pleased that things are on the up, but please do think very very carefully before taking anymore credit. x :-/0 -
Indeed - and getting the loan at a decent rate may be tricky given your credit history?0
