The 26th July. You have roughly one month to put forward something positive at your hearing. Did you visit other agents in your area? what was the feedback.
I would try to make massive savings now in order to have a lump sum ready for when you do move. What was the outcome of the meeting with the property developer that you know.
Can't you borrow the money owed from the parents to buy you more time in trying to sell?
In the meantime remember if your not paying your mortgage the arrears will be mounting up at an alarming rate and this will errode even more into your moneyDebt Free!!!0 -
;D
Ok here we go an update on the situation!
Firstly we pulled our house off the market and out of the sale at a pitance of a price. Obviously Your Move were very agitated by this and tried to make us feel at fault however I didnt bite the worm. They said if it was the money that was bothering us then why didnt we ask for more? I explained we had done only to be told that they were unable to squeeze an extra penny from the buyer let alone more! Their response we should have asked and they would have delivered! I said we did ask several times (as did so) but were told the purchaser couldnt offer anymore and was going to pull out if we didnt stop persuing a better offer.
Your move guessed it was the money that was bothering us as I went in to them and questioned their comission charges against what they had actually done, the woman I challenged got her back up and it wasnt a plesant conversation, none the less I stood my ground but didnt get to budge her!
Anyhow the inlaws are selling the nan-in-laws house (which doesnt have a mortgage on it as is bought outright) and already have an offer (cash buyer) they have now decided they want to buy our house and rent it out and use the money to fund the nan-in-law in a oap home we are all happy and in agreement on this one.
They will buy our house at the outstanding mortgage price including arears which they have fowarded to BOS
They will also use funds from the sale of Nan-in-laws to purchase our caravan for us (thus our profit). But one day we will (if we want to) be able to move back into our home and pay a small rental fee no where close to a monthly mortgage figure! Or we can sell and find somewhere more suitable for our situation at that time in years to come!
Howeverwe still have our park home held and it looks about 8 - 10 weeks before completion of the sale of nan-in-laws home and the purchase of ours goes ahead.
In the meantime we have come to a hopefully sensible decision to move into my husbands parents temporarily (until moving into the park home once it becomes ours) and live rent free so we can start saving the pennies behind us for a new start and fresh page of life.
Tomorrow we shall do this and I shall then proceed to cancel the household bills which in turn will save us a nice sum and prevent any further bouncing Direct Debits and the charges that follow. If I act quick enough we should be able to avoid many of this months bills (July).
We have set up a new business banking account in Barclays Bank who are going to treat us as a new business and give us the fresh break help and advice we have been looking for.
At last we found the people who can and will be eager to help!
Will keep you all posted as things move along.
Have a good week everybody!0 -

I have been reading your thread for a long time now.
I have not been able to help you.Sorry.
But I am so pleased that you now have a solution that you are happy with.
Enjoy your fresh start.0 -
Your in-laws may not be perfect, but they are heroes.I have five stars! This doesn't mean that I know anything about any of the things I post. I could be a raving lunatic, or a brilliant genius, or just some guy on the internet. In fact, I could be all three at the same time.
If anything I say makes sense, then do it. If not, don't. Don't blame me or my stars if you do something stupid because I suggested it. I'm responsible for my own stupidity only. You are responsible for yours.
Why, I don't even have five stars anymore! Aren't you glad you aren't responsible for my stupidity?0 -

Hi Troo
Nice to see some people genuinely care!
AS PER MY OTHER POST "YEARLY DEBT - LOAN OR CC?"
my updated situation is this
Hi
I need to pay a yearly fee of £4,000 for site fees etc for where I am moving to.
Although the obvious answer is to divide the sum into 11 months and put it aside I need the first payment by January 05 and don't have enough time to save that amount.
I also think it may be cheaper to fund it via a loan or Credit Card as the monthly savings amount to aprox. £363 per month which is a hefty sum to have to put by I think. Especially as we have other life's expenses on top (food, telephones etc) and we are self employed.
I am certain a 1 year loan would prove slightly cheaper and am unsure about a credit card (assuming of course I can get accepted and that credit limit).
Which one would be cheapest?
Will it be posible to get a loan every 12 months without looking dodgy or affecting my credit score?
What other alternatives do I possibly have?
Any ideas apreciated?
Thanks

Hi Heddwen
Am I right in thinking you are the same person whos posted above with some problems?
'Its so unfair why wont someone help?'
If so then this post seems really irrelevant - sorry, I dont mean to sound harsh but it seems like you have far more to worry about and sort out than these site fees?
I dont know alot about site fees but £4000 seems alot - I certainly wouldnt be thinking about loans at this stage - and with your situation as it is now I would be very surprised if you were able to get one.
Sorry I havent been much help, I have been following your other post and I hope you manage to get things sorted out
All the best
PS if you ARENT the same person as above then please ignore this reply

I think you'll find that Heddwen possibly at this point hasn't many options as I believe she has decided to move into a mobile home/caravan and has site fees to pay....somehow.
How to do this I don't know but I hope someone can help you Heddwen.

Hello and yes I am that same person and I have overcome all my problems thankfully.
I was left with no alternative than to buy a park home outright, as I think it was obvious my situation will not allowe me to get another mortgage for some time. I cannot afford to throw money away by renting a bedsit either. I wouldnt dream of buying another home until the ridiculous interest rate bubble bursts once and for all!
It has been a struggle and I have been dragged through it all alone but I am now determined to pick myself up and brush myself off and get on with it, hoping that any past posts such as the infamous 'Its so unfair why wont someone help?' wont live on to haunt me on this forum. It indeed was an eyeopener and also a daily diary which enabled me to cope with these problems single-handedly.
I am making a big saving moving to this caravan as I shall have no council tax, no tv lisence, no water rates, no landline (just mobiles which are necessecary for business), no rent or mortgage to pay and the gas and electric are built into the site fees each year. So perhaps you might agree it is still a lot cheaper and a bigger saving, and less stressfull (hopefully) than being cooped up with in laws and a stubourn husband?
I am still self employed and work is increasing. I also have a job a few hours a monthwhich brings in £20 a monrth.
Thanks for the support, now lets let sleeping dogs lye and bygones be bygons hey? PLEASE!
So if anyone has any helpful advice on my latest question helping me to have a little more spare cash each month to pay off other debts (other than site fees),
then that would be a start.
Thanks so much for your continuous help and support.0
