We have one option of a friend of ours who is in the buying and selling world and may be interested in buying our house from us himself so we are off to see him this evening, he will offer us a good price and avoid agency fees etc. We can only hope!
be careful.... i have a feeling, that beacuase you signed a contract with the estate agent, that if you then went a nd sold your house to some one privately, they (estate agent) would still be able to bill you for at the least costs......!smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

I suspect Rob is correct -- but if you get a better price it is still to your advantage.I have five stars! This doesn't mean that I know anything about any of the things I post. I could be a raving lunatic, or a brilliant genius, or just some guy on the internet. In fact, I could be all three at the same time.
If anything I say makes sense, then do it. If not, don't. Don't blame me or my stars if you do something stupid because I suggested it. I'm responsible for my own stupidity only. You are responsible for yours.
Why, I don't even have five stars anymore! Aren't you glad you aren't responsible for my stupidity?0 -

Just got a reply in the post today from BOS mortgage co.
It says " we acknowledge receipt of your letter telling us of your intentions to sell your home and advise we WILL CONTINUE with action until we receive confirmation that contracts for sale have exchanged or the arearrs are cleared in full" They then have the cheek to say in big bold type With compliments BOS mortgages!
Trouble is the settlement of arears has been asked for in full to the amount of the total outstanding mortgage.0 -

HELP IM DESPARATE NOW!
This morning the demand for our appearance in court came in the post. The court apearance date for repossesion of our house is set for 26th July.
We still have a sale going through at the ridiculous price but now need (as explained above) about £4,000 more as we miscalculated. In fact if we were honestly going to start afresh we need £15,000 to clear all our other remaining debts and the remaining money for the park home we have to pay in cash in 4 weeks time!
What do we do? Do we now have a right to go into Your Move (who until now have really been most unhelpful and more than likely will side with the buyer who I am convinced is an insider wanting a bargain profit) and ask they pay more money else they will lose out altogether?
WHAT DO I DO NOW! I am at my wits end, at breaking point. Add all the other life troubles we have going on around us at the moment and its a wonder I havent had a nervous breakdown, I am trying to keep away from being depressed as it is!
Can someone tell me what to do I have a mental block now as its all become too much and I have come to a halt, my life falling apart around me the worst it has ever been (and believe me Ive had some bad times but this beets them all!).0 -
First of all read your own threads and then actually do some of the good ideas that have already been put forward to you.
Get off the internet this morning, get into town and go round all the estate agents and find out what they will charge you for taking on your house and what price they would expect to sell it for.
Sitting here asking us what you should do and then not doing anything is counter productive.
Of course the bank are going to keep going with the reposession, they want their money. How many stories have you already told them about paying your arrears and then not paid. They will be happier with a sale but they are not going to stop the reposession until they have THEIR money in their hands.
The estate agents want a sale as they want their commission they don't care who buys it and they have a buyer even though its less than you want. The prices are going down and they are probably just happy that a sale is going through quite quickly. It is very unlikely that there is anything sinister going on they are just trying to get the sale pushed though. However it is up to you to find another estate agent, they aren't going to come looking for you.
Stop trying to find another loan and 0% credit card, sorry but I would think you are just wasting time with your credit history.
Same with internet service via a lap top, use the library meantime, I hardly think it is an essential tool for car washing. A bit like your Sky, its a luxury you just don't have the money for and with bad credit you probably won't be able to get a new contract anyway.
Harsh reality I'm afraid. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I can't advise re what's best for house situation, but as far as your debts are concerned, it seems like you will have to accept that you can't pay them all off at this point and you will have to spread this out over a longer period of time to take the immediate pressure off.
You need another person to work this out with and again I would suggest a visit to your Citizens Advice Bureau or another free debt service to help you work out how you will manage your debts now in your changing situation. I suggest CAB because they might also be able to help you with other aspects of your situation. Did you enquire about the benefits I mentioned to you a while ago? This might help with extra income. They might have some suggestions you might not have thought of too.Torgwen.....................
