Because Sky have loads of channels which they have room for on the stat.
Virgin don' t have as many channels as sky never had room is tighter on the cable for space.

Also sky have all these silly little channels with very few viewers but they fill space in their schedule list. Crappy shopping channels which are just on a loop etc.

    *cough*

Ummm actually, I would. When my son was a baby/toddler I would let him watch that for a couple of hours and it helped his vocabulary enormously! Granted it was free then but I would happily pay for it again should I have more children.

Even though my son is now 7 years old he still remembers watching Baby TV and occasoinally asks me if I will get him that channel!

I think it is more than worth the cost but that's just me. I think it's a great investment if you have children too young for nursery :)

Why do Virgin Media charge and Sky doesn't?

The Baby Channel closed down last November on all platforms. Content is still available via Virgin on Demand.
