BBC Iplayer help please.

I have just downloaded the bbc iplayer and for some reason when i click on the player icon on desktop it wont open or do anything.
I am trying to load it so i can download progs from the iplayer and im not having much luck.
Any help please guys.

I have done a restart of pc but still having the same problem.
I have click on the icon on desktop and its not taking me to the iplayer at all so im not sure what im doing wrong.0 -

I did that and tried to download the one show and clicked on the download icon just under the pic on the right hand side and it did nothing.
when i have used it before on a old pc that i had a download box would come up and you could see how far it has downloaded but when i have tried to do it now on my new pc its not done that

Yep it did all that and click on what i should have click on and got the icon on my desktop and have looked in my Programs that are on my pc and its in there but cant get the dame thing to come up.0 -
