Question of the Week: Do you get section 75 protection via Paypal?

Hi,

Just an update about the faulty item I received from an ebay seller (see earlier post for details). After contacting the seller, who refused my request for a refund, I contacted ebay (16th Sept 09) via their Resolution Centre. They agreed to my request for a refund without an argument. On 23rd September 09 the refund (for the full amount) was deposited in my Paypal account. Today the money hit my bank account! At no point did the ebay representative ask me to return the item to the Seller or ebay!

From my expereince, which I guess is unusual, I must give ebay 100% on their attitude to customer complaints. I would be interested to hear from anyone else who has had a similar expereince?

This is no longer true. American Express will be charged in Pounds from Paypal if the original transaction is in pounds.

It's fraud if they reported it as lost for an insurance claim.
