It not a matter of how long your online, its the amount of data you use. How many sites you view etc.
  • Ive got unlimited vodafone internet and the operator told me the fair usage policy goes up to 500mb a month, although ive heard from a few people that they dont charge you even if you go over this which i find hard to believe!

  • I got charged roughly £250 for using something like 230MB of internet back when Vodafone had a limit of 120MB. So much for the unlimited internet i signed up for. Mis-sold via dial-a-phone so was sorted. But vodafone do charge i believe £2 per 1Mb over your allowance. It will be in your terms on your contract.

Sign up on Vodafone .com where you can see you itemised bill, it ican be up to 72 hours behind but you will be able to get a good idea how many minutes texts and Mb you are using and whether they are chargeable or come from your inclusive plan.

I have just aquired an HTC Hero on Vodafone, even with lots of playing about downloading apps, Google mail on auto sync and a few widgets working I didnt come anywhere near the limit on my first bill.

I Know not trying hard enough :)

  • spoke with Vodafone last night who advised me that the fair usage limit is 500mb however if you go over they won't automatically charge you - they will send you a letter or sms telling you off basically for exceeding their limit and if you continue to "abuse" then they wioll hit you with the charges. as i don't stream live video feeds i don't think i will get anywhere near the 500mb anyway - thanks for all of your help tho
