Phone Deals with free gifts - any good

All these deals you get with phone contracts with free Xbox, free Wii, free laptop, loads of cashback. Are they for real, worth it, or more hassle than they are worth. I'm due an upgrade soon and keep looking at these ads thinking it sounds too good to be true. And I know the saying......if it sounds too good, it probably is!!!

Any experiences?
