unlocking NEC e616

i have the software that is meant to unlock this phone.
but you have to modify the usb data cable that comes with the phone.
as i have only the 1 cable i do not wish to alter it, i am trying to source another cable so i can alter that one.
but if anyone wants the software and can alter their cable i can send them it.
this will also prove if it works.

I've got one of these phones from the CPW offer which i won't use with 3....what exactly do you mean by altering the USB cable? If you could send the software to lld@abc.freeuk.com, i'll see what happens.

BTW a friend who owns a mobile phone shop bought the "kit" to unlock these for over a grand, but he can't do the e616 because NEC have changed something & he is well !!!!!! off.

ok, you need to link the pins on the phone end of the cable.(pin 4&5 pin 8&9&10)
its a 10 pin plug and as you see the pins are very small.
so you need to take apart the plug and connect it as shown

In that case, post the details in the "Referers Board" and a link here. You are allowed to do that if you are making a gain from a service
