Whats best file format to save photos?

Hmmm, FWIW it opens OK in Photoshop 5.0. It's a 544x480 image with a circular green border. None of my other programs seem to recognise it though.

I have got it to open in Photo shop as well and then I can save it as a jpg which will open in picassa

hmm was I trying the right photo shop then? I was using the online version? where can i get it for a free trial?

My is a purchased copy of Photoshop Elements 6 (for info)

Interestingly the "frame" of the picture is not green all over fades to grey on the right hand side.

A lot of trials have the save and export bit disabled so not sure it would be much use.

I would like to thank everyone for there help managed to get a "friend" to help me out
the disk is now on my hard drive ready to upload it to a web album.
