ASOS - New Codes

I made 2 orders for Timberland hats for my sons. Literally one right after the other. One is showing as shipped and the other one still processing.

Actually, who you should be blaming is the ASOS IT department, or the developer responsible for coding this. It's not that hard to make a code specific to a particular user - other retailers do it. Any decent coder or analyst knows to test for scenarios of people behaving badly - you don't ever trust the customer to behave well.

That's why for retailers a good IT department is so crucial and most of them are pretty well paid, e.g the top stores - their IT graduate scheme intakes are mostly people from Oxbridge or other top universities. Bad IT staff can cost a company a lot of money.

Having said that, the true cost price of some of these £11 items will be pretty low so I don't think they'll have lost the sums of money people are suggesting.

I placed a few orders but in the end there was a limited amount of cheap stuff I wanted or would use, so I placed some more expensive orders and I bought a very nice sale item which wasn't in the offer. There will be quite a few people who did that so they won't lose too much money.

Just wondered how many others are still waiting for orders to be despatched and used the first code yesterday morning?

Me I ordered around 6.00am one item, with the first code. Still processing. The item shows oos online now so unless by some miracle my order is picked up before others who have ordered the same item then mine is sure to be cancelled.

Cant believe someone posted on the Asos forum..almost begging for a code,"it would be nice if you gave me one as i blabbed"...looks like they were far from interested,and probably thought it was someone trying to blag a free code by pretending there was one posted elsewhere...i hope everyones orders come,my 6 have all been posted...i love a bargain but am not that desperate id go begging to Asos for a tenner xxxx
