last december 3 i orderd a hp pavilion from choice catalog 1st i was sent the wrong pc by hp waited 2 to 3 weeks then sent it back 2nd pc arived to find the grafix card shut down when in a game & loud fan noise sent that back then 3rd pc arived 3 to 4 weeks later
things went fine till a week later the fan noise started at this stage there was complaints apearing of loud 9500gs fans so i told them there is a common fault "he replyed hp have not had any complaints on this card "even said the complaints on HP tech forums where lies" i had a little work to do on the pc so was not botherd at that stage just happy to get the pc and start the work.
i got a falloup call from Hp because the fault with 2nd pc but choice has taken it back and replaced it so i told the tech i had loud fan noise on the card 9500gs i was told to check no wires was hitting the fan "nothing" he said a new card will be sent out with in 3 days so he said no need to call choice get pc replaced.
so i waited 7 days no card so i called the tech support i was told no card will be sent out after there BS i told them when it breaks il send it back because i had work to do on it
so last week the noise has doubled i called up tech support and told them my card needs replaced and told them the card is faulty i was put on hold & passed on to transport so i called again and was told HP are doing a replacement program on that make & model i was emailed a link to fill in so i did it the place where i filled the form in would not take my codes i spent 3 hours doing it
next day i recalled i was told there was a fault on the website try tomorow so sill no fix so i call again this time i had made loads of calls and placed on hold for up to 20 mins at a time got no where then i called up next day i said i want to speak to a manager i am recording this phone call so a manager came on and ask for my number she will follow up and call me back when she called me back i got told she has sorted the problem and she will put me on to a tech support i waited 30 mins on hold to be told to unplug the fanon the card i told them i want a new card i was sent to hold for shouting for 10 mins so when he came back he said he will book it in for a servis i said for get it ill call choice and get my money back and hung up
i called choice got a guy from liverpool who said he will contact HP on my half he called me back and said take the hard drive out and it will be picked up on monday i said ok so monday came "my sons birthday" no one came i waited in all day so could not take him to mcdonalds and no today i seek help on what i should do

    You bought it from Choice.
    Write a real letter (better than a email) to Choice telling then what is wrong and give them 14 days (say) to fix it.
    Explain that after 14 days you will have no option but to seek a refund through the Small Claims Court.
    Send letter by recorded delivery.
    This letter is known as a Letter Before Action. Google it for many sample letters.
