Prospective new BB user, but having usual problem of choosing betwen costs/speeds/negative customer comments.
Some comparisons put Nildram in a good light and cost is only£11.90 +VAT per month. Would be grateful for any advice from Nildram customers.

Excellent provider. Have used them for 3.5 years, only 2 minor outages, both down to BT. In both cases, customer services excellent (ie picked up phone without delay, explained what problem was and likely resolution timescales).
They're not the cheapest, but personally I'm willing to pay a little more to get a reliable service.
NB for the prices you quote the service is Broadband 2go lite, which has only 250Mb included...you'll definitely need more than that. Unless you're going to be downloading music/video extensively, however, paying the £2 extra for Broadband 2Go should be sufficient. Both my wife & I work from home connected to respective work networks over broadband, and we rarely go over 1 more "bundle" of data allowance, ie £17.97 total.
Also note that you stated price excl VAT; if it's something you need, they're happy to issue invoices/receipts if you need them for business expenses.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
Thanks for the info. Promising, although they also charge a one-off set up fee of £47 for new customers.0

you will find this the BT fee for activating a line any isp with a monthly contract will charge this
you would be able to avoid this if you signed up for a 12 month contract and do not leave within 12 months (except plusnet who will claw backover 5 years!)0
