Yeh that's what I meant - and also they can point out if bits of it don't make sense (but obviously don't let them rewrite it for you)0 -

You're a veritable repository of knowledge! I'm sure the OP thanks you for the most constructive criticism. Does seem like an instance of plagiarism though - appropriating others ideas!

Well, you should first analyze why you have failed in your assignments. Just consult your professor and ask his/her feedback as to why you have scored such low marks.
Moreover, you should also be studying something in general in the libraries to know about these social issues. Try to give some realistic answers and current affairs news so that can be more impressive that you have written it all by yourself truthfully.0 -
Have you seen an example of a good essay so you can see how the quoting is done? You need to paraphrase more and say what somebody said in your own words, back it up with other research and then counter that with alternative ideas - then put in your own view. Eg Smith (1995) suggested that there was no such thing as child abuse. This seems an odd thing to suggest considering the evidence from the research carried out by Johnson (1993) who found that ............. (I made this all up by the way, there is no such person as Smith or Johnson in this context lol0

Oh yes, and direct quotes should only be used sparingly, approx 3 or 4 per A4 page (at my uni this was suggested) and should only be used when there is no other possible way you can think of to say the same thing.0
