Do bt do any retention offers for normal landlines?

just rang that number they said they only give discounts if you have broadband?....i just have a landline

If I remember correctly BT can only price their line rental according to their published price list. So they cannot offer individuals special deals unless it is a published deal the terms of which are available for all to see. This does not apply to broadband or BT Vision hence they can offer you a deal on these.

Its not the case.
You can get a deal on the line rental if you agree a 12 month renewable contract. (the offer i stated in previous post is still available)

call 150 and ask to speak to the customer options team

i did?......and they told me no discount unless ur a broadband customer....no discount to line rental??

you have not been told correct info.

Call customer options team, ask to change to free evening and weekend plan with extra £1.00 discount and also the £2.00 line rental discount.
Remember this is a 12 month renewable contract.
You do not need to have BT broadband to get it.
Best thing to say when you call is " I called before and was offerred this deal and would now like to sign up"

just rang....they only said the offer they could do was £2 off!.....so got a £24 credit to my account! quite pleased......£9.25 for no work at all!
