Do bt do any retention offers for normal landlines?

I am on the 11.25 but never use the line because its Internet only.......if I ring and say I am leaving...what do they offer if anything??

    BT will not care because so long as you need internet they will get paid by whoever takes your line over unless you are going for cable.

    You cannot have the line without a phone service in the UK.

    You might get offered £2 per month discount for 12 months if you agree to a new 12 month contract.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    You wont get a discount of the weekend plan. You could change to the free unlimited evening and weekend plan with an extra £1.00 off making it £10.25 then you can get the extra £2.00 a month off line rental making it £8.25 a month.
    (this involves a 12 month renewable contract though so might not suit everyone)
