    Hi you lot,

Just a thought - some of you in this thread may be able to help me with a query that has been niggling away at me!!!!!

Ages ago I heard a radio programme that really intrigued me and I wanted to find out more but i just couldn't remember any 'name' or key word to google (tried a few connected words but were useless as just brought up so much unconnected stuff) and anyone I have asked since just hasn't got a clue what I'm talking about.

Am hoping someone on here might know!!! -

It's something to do with a frequency where for years and years and years (long before computers as we know them) there has just been a continual succession of number sequences being broadcast. One theory is that it was something to do with the war, (although no-one knows the date it started) and others that it is connected to extra-terrestrials of some sort. They played a bit of it on the radio programme. It is a voice (computer generated?) that has been on the airwaves for all those years, apparantly never changing, never missing a beat, never faltering, never repeating the same number sequence but that has just never stopped and no government, power etc. has ever been able to give any explanation for it, identify it, explain how it is being done or find it's source.

Does anyone know what I am talking about????!!!! - it was v. intriguing and I have always wondered about it (hope it wasn't an April Fool or something!)

    Thanks for any thoughts,

    Pip.

They're called Number Stations. Wikipedia has an article about them.

My initial thought was Midkiff counting his dollars in his now famous Ponzi scheme.

Haven't heard of that myself but have heard of Spectra the alien intelligence that Uri Geller, allegedly it is claimed, communicated with him. The "intelligence" was claimed to be of the "Hoova"

It was wholly electrical intelligence and is believed to be the inspiration alongside the Internet for Skynet in the Terminator movies. The Ghost in the machine:cool:

Does anybody else love the concepts behind "Fringe" on Sky?
    The years starts today ....
  • Roswell. Hmm, where to begin?

    Let's start with Major Marcell:
He lied about how many Air Medals he received in the war.
He lied about his airman qualifications.

The witness who said her father saw the aliens. She said he said they were yellowish-orange colored. This part is always edited with ellipses ("...") in the UFO books because other "witnesses" described them as gray. And her father was a cook at the base.

One witness came across the wrecked saucer with aliens bodies strewn about. He said there were other witnesses there. He gave incredibly detailed information to the UFO researchers that bought it hook, line, and sinker even though the witness was 5 years old at the time!

Oh, thanks Chew - and you are newbie as well!!!!! If you hadn't just joined I still might never have known.

Googled Number Stations after your post and for anyone who is interested here is link to page/s:

    http://www.google.com/search?q=Number+Stations&rls=com.microsoft:en-gb:IE-SearchBox&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GFRE_en

    - was v. interested in this site http://www.archive.org/details/ird059

as it has recordings and audio files like the one I heard in the radio programme. What intrigues me is that they have been continuous for so many, many years - it is easy to think with todays technology 'Oh, they are just computer generated' but it was long, long before any technology like we have today was even thought of let alone was available and with every key stroke on every computer being ultimately traceable now, how is it that (supposedly) no-one anywhere can trace the source in any of the countries/languages?

and if they were connected to spys/wars what is their purpose today when there is far more advanced and undetectable technology available but having said that, how is it that they are still going, unbreakable and remain unsourced?

    Interesting:

Would love to hear anyone's views.

By the way, welcome to the board & good luck with all freebies and interests!!!
