New landline

I get really confused by phone connections and line rental etc...

I'm moving into a flat on Wednesday. I phoned BT and they said a new line needs to be put in, which is free (instead of the £122 charge). I'll be on an 18month Unlimited Evening and Weekend Plan contract.

Does that mean if I join Sky within the next 18 months I won't be able to take up their Sky Talk and Broadband package?

Are there any other ways to get a landline put in/reconnected (I'm sure there is one at the flat I'm moving to)? Or is it too late anyway now I've agreed over the phone to join this 18 month plan?

Not necessarily but you will want to read this:

Your problem will be making the required number of chargeable calls to qualify for the free connection. The bottom line is it's impossible.
