No it isn't! If you don't use your phone to make calls you'll just rack up a ridiculous amount of credit! :rotfl:
Could be of interest to me as I currently get all the texts I need for topping up £10 and buy the internet bolt-on for £7.50. I'd spend next to nothing but end up with a ridiculous amount of credit after a few months.0 -
That's a good point!
O2 seem to have helpfully put out a whole load of different bolt-ons to help you spend the credit too, so I guess you could always also add a minutes bolt-on if you do use the phone... well... as a phone!"...And I gave that man directions, even though I didn't know the way, 'cause that's the kind of guy I am this week." -- Homer Simpson0 -
This is ideal for me- especially if you still get a minutes based treat as well. If need the minutes then I'd still go for the Solo 20 plan on T-Mobile for a fiver more a month.0

I get 20 minutes to landlines and O2 mobiles every month which suits me fine.
This tariff actually seems to have replaced the text one I'm on at the moment so thanks to the OP for bringing it to my attention. Think I might as well switch as even if I only top up a tenner I'll get unlimited texts as opposed to the "mere" 300 I get now and if I top up £15 I'll get the web access too.
Probably top up £15 for 6 months, get everything I need for free, then spend the money over the next 6 months on web and text bolt-ons. Works out at around £7.50 a month for at least 200 texts and unlimited web access and I doubt I could beat that elsewhere.0 -
Just keep an eye on the small print.
With most of these deals you need to top up each month or you don't get the deal. My Mum seams to have loads of credit as has to top up every month or misses her free offers.BSC No: 186 There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Unless someone's nicked the candle !
