How often does your IP change? If you leave the router on permanently it would be rare for it to release and re-assign it elsewhere. How easy would it be for the company to amend your fixed IP if you were to tell them the current one, then update it should the floating IP change at some point in future

I think www.no-ip.com offers some sort of static (what you want) to dynamic (what you have) IP service off the top of my head, but can't check right now...
  • Zen provide static also.

    Do something amazing. GIVE BLOOD.
  • You can buy a static IP from your ISP (depending on who it is).

Usually about £5 per month. Speak to them.
  • Let us know the details for your money making scheme too :-)

Yes, I guess that may be possible but not free of course! And I wonder if it would allow SIP voice traffic?
    Possibly

Try webhostingtalk.com and asking providers directly
My IP address changes automatically every 72 hours; I think this is pretty well industry standard.
    It isn't

Yes, I think they will point a domain name at my dynamic IP address. The problem is (as explainmed in my original post) the premium rate phone provider can only point at an IP address (not a domain name). In effect, I need a fixed IP address that can point at my floating IP address! I do not think that possible!!!
Simple your goig to have to change isp or go to talk talks business division opal telecomms!
