Is it normal to be charged for delivery reports? I just noticed on my bill I have been getting charged £0.009 for them. I know its less than a penny but I send apx 1000 messages a month.... so thats about £9 +VAT!
Also I received a couple of multimedia messages and was charged nearly £2.50 each time... I think they may have been dodgy ringtone type messages which I just delete..... is there anything I can do about them?
I'm on Orange...
Thanks!

You need to phone Orange and get it cancelled, my daughter discovered this to her cost!0

On some phones you can turn them off in the message settings.
Orange have been charging for them for many years now.0 -
Is it just Orange that do this?0

Have turned them off now. I just assumed that they were free as they were when I was PAYG...
Will have to call Orange tomorrow about the 2.50 messages. Is there any chance of trying to get the money back??0 -
Well, there's a slight chance, but as they've been charging for them for so long and it's in the T&C's it would be up hill work...0

Sorry, misread there !!
The network can tell where they came from, the info will be in the server call logs. You just need to talk to someone who knows how to find them.0 -
The contact details should be within the message you received. There should also be a five digit short code that can help.MagicMartyn wrote:I was meaning the ringtone messages that have cost me £2:50. Is there no way of finding out who they are from?
have you the message?
These messages are revenue share. That means Orange take (30%?) before passing the rest on to the 'service provider'. Orange know who they are billing for. Ask them.0
