Eon cancellation charge for FixOnline 3 question

I'm considering moving to Eon and I've been looking at the following two tariffs- FixOnline 3 SaveOnline FixOnline is about £43 cheaper per year and there is a cancellation charge of £30 if I move from this plan before December 2010. i've change from fix online v1 to 2 to 3 to 4 and so on all the way to fix online v8, never had the fee. They say in their Ts and C's that they MAY apply the fee, however they wont as they dont want to wind up customers that are staying with them. however if you leave them, they will take pleasure in applying the fee.
