O2 allowance update delay
I am thinking of joining O2 from T-Mobile and was wondering how long the delay is between making a call/text and the allowance information being updated on O2.
Also is it the same using My O2 and over text message?
I find it quite annoying that some networks can't provide an accurate record of how much allowance you have remaining! T-Mobile has a delay of approx 1 hour which is the best I've seen from all networks.

I have payg O2 text anytime and when I text the balance of money (not the number of texts in my package) is shown at the end. Can't recall about phone calls as hardly make any on it.
The website shows the exact number of texts you have left i think, and the money balance.
Money put on is straight away either by phone or website, takes time to say you are on the text anytime again but it has already allocated the relevant number of texts to your package so takes it off that instead of the money side.0 -
It's 12 hours on contract. Int/data can take upto 48 hours.
3 is the best for this, instantaneous. However, it's the worst for everything else!0 -
Thanks for the replies!
sacer_sam, I was asking about contract (which I forgot to mention in my post!)
Thanks Astec! 3 is definatly the best however you can't see an itemised list until your bill is produced which means you can't see details of any charges until your bill is produced! How is O2 for this?0 -
I don't use online billing, so only get itemised list with bill.
However can send a free text to 21202 it tells you remaining allowance, billing date and total charges since last bill. Tbh, I've got more mins & texts than I use and unlimited internet so only get the odd charge for overseas texts.
Is all the info than I need.0 -
Ah ok. I tend to hover on the border of my allowance towards the end of the month!0

Yes I used to be on o2 payg and now on o2 contract. For some reason o2 payg tends to give you an instant allowance balance, but on contract it's delayed.

I have an iPhone on O2 and it has the Usage Checker App installed. It's normally updated within a few hours as far as I can make out.0

T mob took 87mins for my usage to update
and 1 day for wap usage0 -
T-Mobile is always quick for me!
I can live with a couple of hours so I guess I'll be switching to O2
