Orange Upgrade

Went onto the site to upgrade my phone (now in last 3 months of contract). Website says I can get the same deals as new customers. I thought great, seen the phone i like and the cost of the contract.
The phone i wanted was the LG Viewty Smart, and it was free on a 24 month contract at £29 a month for new customers. When I went through for the upgrade, it was £29 a month and £166 for the phone......
Now to me, that is not the same as a new customer at all. Orange are not letting existing customers get the same deals at all......
Rant over......

Existing customers usually get better deals at end of contract. I would try speaking to the upgrade at orange.
And in the last month speak to orange retentions after requesting your PAC code and then they can offer better details.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

you cant get a free phone if youve still got 3 months to go
they give u the chance to upgrade early but at a priceWhat goes around-comes around0 -

I agree with that, but it actually states on their website that existing customers can get the same great deals as new customers, and this is obviously not the case.
I will be called them at lunchtime to find out about this and to explain why.If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0 -
yes existing customers who are at the end of the contract not before it endsWhat goes around-comes around0

You should be able to get it free as they add the 3 months onto the end of the new contract. So you are actually have a 27 month contract and not a 24 month contract. If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0

It is a 24 month contract, they just start it at the end of the 18 month contract0 -
UPDATE - The reason it costs is because they base the price on your exsisting contract and not the new one.
Got another phone instead, gone for the Nokia 5800 which does what I need it to. Should arrive tomorrow. If the world is a stage... I want better lighting!0 -
