We are FTB's who have offer accepted on house and had an independent building survey done which shows house is in need of some basic maintainence, has some damp and electrics are old with some suspect connections etc ?will need rewire. Spoke to our mortgage advisor as EA asked us to contact them after survey report out, he advised wait for mortgage valuation survey as if they find faults which could affect loan then we will have more leverage for negogiation of price. Feel like we are in big game where we can't show our hand in case everything falls through and feel like EA is the enemy because they working on behalf of vendor!!
We are now waiting for mortgage to be approved and their surveyor to go out, in the meantime I'm not sure if I tell EA our concerns with house highlighted in report. Please help! Need advice!

wait for your lenders survey and see what that highlights. If it highlights the same problems then negotiate. If not you can still negotiate from your survey but get some professionals to go in and have a look first. Just sit and wait!MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0

Thank you, that's what MA had said this morning but felt stuck again. Am not enjoying process today. Hopefully we will hear from him today and when next survey date fixed.0
