I want a cheap basic phone!
Morning everyone,
I'm currently on a £45 per month contract with Vodafone with the N96 + satnav etc. I never take photos and my phonecalls and text messages hardly ever exceed 100mins or 100 texts per month. It was an 18 month contract with 6 months left on it now.
Mazuma will pay £150 for the phone and with that i can buy a satnav i can keep forever! That way i wont be paying £5 a month on the next phone just for the honour. So with £150 i basically want to buy a really cheap phone and a satnav.
I'm not sure when i can revise my contact so i'll give vodafone a ring at some point. I was hoping to revise the contract now on a cheaper phone and get a really basic package. Is this possible?
Please advise on a super cheap phone i may be able to use with my contract sim card (with revised tariff) or a PAYG.
Thanks very much! Sorry i dont keep up to date with this technology as it just moves so fast.

You could try sim only contracts
http://shop.orange.co.uk/shop/sim/payg_sim
The cheapest 1 month sim contract is £15 from what i can see here. But gives you to many text/mins for the usage you have told us.

Looks like 02 gives a better deal at the moment for £10 on a 30day contract (100mins, 300text)

As to a phone, there are so many to choose from, for this i would recommend walking into town and trying them in the mobile shops as they have them on display. Find a PAYG handset then buy it instore or online. Then you can spend what is left on your sat nav.
By friend just brought this from argos Navman F45

Hi Bufger
If you're plan and phone are no longer working for you, I'd say it's defitely time for a change.
In terms of upgrading, you can do that in the last 70 days over the phone or online or in the last 90 days in store.
If you send an email to us from the Contact Us form of our website with a link to this thread in the body of the text and MMM135 in the subject line we'll look into finding something that will suit your usage better.
Speak to you soon!
