I know they're not chunks, but the Quorn Pepper steaks are £1 in Asda - they're one of the few 'veggie things resembling meat' I actually like.
If you cube them, they're good in kebabs.

As for veggies eating meat substitutes, well I don't particularly like them, but I stopped eating meat when I was 5, so have no recollection of what it actually tastes like. My OH became veggie about 15 years ago and for a while had cravings for stuff, so he would eat the veggie version.
They're also handy if you're cooking for omnivores who are used to eating something meat-like in just about every meal. I wouldn't attempt to cook meat as I'm completely clueless and don't want to poison anybody - I have cooked it for my cats though...

The thing I really don't get is the imitation stringy & gristly bits in Quorn sausages (yuk)

personally I don't eat much meat (I will eat meat) but I hate the cutting up of meat, I hate the fat and gristle on things like chops and bacon. So for me Quorn give me the best of both worlds. I get to eat meaty dishes when I want to but with out all the stuff I hate.

I will try the chicken quorn with marmite. good idea. Making a beef quorn hotpot with chicken quorn just wasn't the same.

I'm sort of 80% vegetarian if that is possible as the only meat I eat is chicken and bacon - and I don't really eat that anymore, instead plumping for the quorn bacon bits (guh!), quorn fillets, chicken style pieces, fajita bits, nuggets, steak strips, steak strips etc etc. Haven't found one I don't like yet. The mince is awesome for lasagne/shepards pie etc.

If you can find Grassingtons chicken style nuggets - grab them with both hands. They are to die for - and sadly our farmfoods has stopped doing them so we can't get them round here now :(
