Well, I got my electricity thingy from British Gas, they sent me a leaflet ages ago offering me one of three different energy saving devices, I can't even remember what the others were but the meter thing was WAY more exciting, when it was delivered yesterday I nearly wet my pants!!! It was fitted about 5 seconds after I opened it!!!:D
I have 5 generous portions of homemade soup, one in the fridge for tomorrow and the others are in the freezer - I will take one out on the morning I need it to kep it fresh!! It tastes gorgeous, I just stuck 2 sweet potatoes, 6 carrots, 3 parsnips, 1 leek, 3-4 pints of water and 3 stock cubes in my slow cooker, and now I have huge portions of soup to last me 5 lunches (I think I will spread them over 2 weeks - will do some pasta for the other days), pasta is boiling as I speak ready for the kids lunches, and DD has made some banana buns, so thats them sorted for tomorrow!! :T
I think I need some addiction therapy, I keep coming on this site, I'm sure its not healthy to spend so long looking at the screen!! :rotfl:
If anyone wants to join the GUNNAGETTHINNER challenge you are more than welcome, we can all keep each other on track!!!

we are so very similar hun, I am making a huge batch of fat busting soup tomorrow. And I have just said how much I need to get off of here, it is such a lovely waste of time reading all of these lovely diaries but it isn't getting me very far. :rolleyes:0

Well, I have just ordered my set books & dvd for my uni course £61.23
I thought I could get away with second hand for most of them, in fact I have a copy of a couple of them, then I read the info and it said I had to have those particular issues.......I suppose its so when I make a quote the tutor can check it and if its different copies the page numbers wouldn't be the same.......
Gutted is not the word, I get a £260 grant, so it's more than covered, but I wanted that to pay off my NatWest OD (£221), I'm going to have to find £22 from somewhere so I can close the account, and then its one debt off my extra long list!!! :money:
Its done now, and they should come this week, I love getting parcels!!!

            Hi WBDF.
Hope you're OK. Just had a massive update on your diary!
Thats really rubbish about nationwide. I hate it when people ''determine'' whether or not you are in ''financial hardship''. Its like us, we cant get any help on anything - how do they know that we're still not just as, if not more, hard up than these people that they do class as being in ''financial hardship''. Bloody fools. So I'm really sorry to hear about that hun. Sometimes it just makes you mad.... Sometimes it just makes you mad....
Regards your shopping total for the month.. You only went over by £1.93. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself. This is still a massive acheivement and I bet you it will now make you work twice as hard to stick within Octobers budget. You are doing great and all with practically no help! You go girl! You're a winner so don't beat yourself up. :A You are doing great and all with practically no help! You go girl! You're a winner so don't beat yourself up. :A
OMG I'm so jealous of your elec monitor - Im supposed to be getting one from EON but havent got mine yet. May have to make a call about that! Freebies!! May have to make a call about that! Freebies!!
Good luck on your £450 target for next month this sounds do-able and Im sure you'll manage it. You're very good and organised!!
 :T

Well day one of the slimming challenge went pretty well, off I went to work with my homemade soup and a couple of bits of fruit, by the time I got home I was so starving I ended up eating a pack of crisps, 2 bits of bread and 3 bourbon biscuits!!! DAGNAMMIT!!!
S'ok, tomorrow is another day.........I have to get this back under control........
Dinner is bubbling away on the cooker, and one lot of the books I ordered has been dispatched (very quick - I am impressed!) so this week I should be getting lots of parcels which makes me very excited, there's nothing better than a parcel, even when you know what's in it!!!:T
I don't know what's up with me at the moment, my weight loss focus has gone, I need to buy something to slim into, something I really love (not very :money:- but I think it would be worth it!!) bring back my vavavoom!!
Right, better go mash the spuds!!!
