I have just done it and reduced it my mobile tariff by £5 a month. Bonus. I thought I could only do it once but thanks for telling me otherwise. I will get my partner to do his when he comes home.
  • sleepless saver : i will consider that when we get our landline sorted but I was hoping to stay away from BT because they tried to rip me off when we were with them before. thank you anyhow

Have you done both mobiles?. Don't forget to do it again next month, I know with 02 I did it 4 times, I started on £35 contract and ended on a £15 contract.

PLEASE WATCH THOSE MINUTES AND TEXTS.

Edit: Ive just notice you edited your post to say you will get your partner to do his on his return home.

Who is your dongle thing with?
  • I have already set a reminder on my phone & in the calendar for next month. hehe
I dont use the minutes & texts that i have with my tariff so that shouldnt be a problem. I only went over with those awful 08 numbers but kaisersoze gave me a great website that that will never happen again.

You don't have to go with BT. I pay £19.99 pm with Tiscali for 24/7 broadband and calls. And there are probably better deals out there.

Hi there, may I ask why you are on economy 7 electric if you have oil heating? My understanding was economy 7 was only worth it if you had storage heaters as the daytime rate is much higher. Please forgive me if you are finding it cheaper on E7, just looking for ways to squeeze a few more bob out.

    Hi
Do you have any room on your 14% cards, to transfer the 19 apr credit card to get that on a lower ABR?

Is your husband able to use public transport for work?

Regards phone packages etc - mine is £37 a month with virgin for landline, broadband and basic tv package. Im sure there are better deals, but it's just to give you an idea.

Well done on your lightbulb moment. This board is great and everyone is really helpful.

Have you considered washable nappies? (not for all i admit, just a thought Im throwing out there). I have heard Lidl nappies are good - but i can understand you may not want to downgrade these - but I wondered if you had tried before ?

Regards the groceries - do you bulk cook? The OS forum is amazing , can completely transform your spending habits. Im sure most have room for a little improvement on grocery costs. There is a grocery challenge you can try - sure won't do any harm . Again, OSers are fantastic and really helpful.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I'm not actually sure why we are on Economy 7 with oil heating but that is what they put us on when we moved here. I'll ring them tomorrow to see if we are better off on econ 7 or a different rate.
