Can't you cancel under distance selling regs?

My son eventually sorted the brakes although they did rub slightly. We also had a problem with the pedal so ended up bringing it into our local Sports World shop and they were very good. They arranged for me to go in on a specific day as they would have someone there who sorts the bikes for them and he fixed it for us.
On the down side my son isnt keen on the bike, he feels it not quite right but cant do anything about it now as its nothing specific.
I was pleasantly surprised with the help from SportsWorld (sportsdirect) looking on other websites they got very negetive reviews and I wasnt expecting much but they were very helpful.
Looking back now I think if its that cheap with disc brakes it cant be a very high standard but at the moment it does the job for however long it will last. If I was buying a budget bike again I would go for cable brakes as they seem easier to adjust and fix.0 -

Stick with the "lone voice"
I see the troops have retreated and are regrouping with a call for support from allies on another forum.
I've got my tin hat at the ready for the anticipated onslought!
I'm not saying I'm always correct, but it would nice to debate in a civilised manner with reasoned arguements. I'm always happy to accept I'm wrong if people can substantiate their own opinion."Now to trolling as a concept. .... Oh I know they won't agree with me.
I got that with the response that essentially said something like "you appear to be the only person arguing a case against the accepted position on this board"
I only got involved because the thread was initially posted in this forum but was moved by the board guide to that sub-forum where I agree it really should have been in the first instance, but if this really was a newbie looking for genuine advice, why not offer it?"Now to trolling as a concept. ....
