If you're planning a curry (and you should!) be aware that the quality at the Kashmir has been right down the last few times I've been (bit hit & miss). However, there is a curry for every budget in Bradford, from cheap (Karachi, not far from Media Museum - or Sweet Centre, a personal favourite of mine, on Lumb Lane) to proper restaurant (try the Nawaab in Manor Row or Saffron Desi in Leeds Road). See the Bradford Curry Guide for ideas.
Bradford also has (cheap) ice skating next to the Media Museum, Bolling Hall, Bradford Industrial Museum, and Lister Park - an award winning park with boating lake and an art gallery, Cartwright Hall, within it. Media Museum, Bolling Hall, Industrial Museum, Lister Park, Cartwright Hall, and BD1 Gallery are all free. The pub next to Lister Park, "the Park", sells reasonable quality, well priced food.
The BD1 gallery is in the city centre and has travelling exhibitions in one room and a static Bradford exhibition in the other - all photographs. There is currently a free open-top tour of Bradford happening on Saturdays.
There are two excellent theatres - the Alhambra and the Playhouse, a concert hall (St George's Hall), and the Studio, a small venue which often has comedy nights.
Hope you have a great time!#145 Save £12k in 2016 Challenge: £12,062.62/£12,000.00 Beginning Balance: £5,027.78 CHALLENGE MET
