Natwest - Solo debit to Visa Debit (UK)

Hello,
I have a step account with Natwest. The provided me a Solo debit card, but i just can't buy anything online. I can't even get pay monthly mobile phone contracts because of that..
So i would like to know if there is any possibility for me to get a visa debit card from Natwest(as they said that all of their customers will hold a Visa debit by 2011), or at least to get a maestro one!
In case none of the two are possible, i am going to transfer my money to another account! In this case which bank should i choose?
PS: I've been trying to find a Natwest customer service email for half an hour now, but i can't!!!
Thanks you,
Nik

They start issuing them tomorrow, just call up and ask for one and you will be sent a Visa Debit card. It will still require authorisation like the SOLO card but will be much more widely accepted.0

I think you need to ring and say you lost your card to get the new one sent mate.
OP - Regards to the type of card; see here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=18541192010 - year of the troll

Actually, there is no need to ring up to report your card lost/damage.Natwest wrote:My Maestro or Solo card hasn't expired, can I keep using it even though I've been sent a new Visa Debit card?
When you receive your new Visa Debit card you should start using it immediately. You should destroy your existing card by cutting it through the magnetic strip and through the chip. Your existing card will be cancelled and will stop working before the expiry date stated on the card.

I think it comes automatically without the card being expired, damaged, lost, etc...0 -

Cheers for links...
Are you saying they will just send new cards to everyone, before expiry? HSBC refused to do this cos of the cost and obvious financial implication, although they have done it with Plus & Premier customers....2010 - year of the troll

I would like a Visa Debit card now, how do I apply?
Pop into your local branch or contact telephone banking. Remember, a Visa Debit card will be sent to you automatically before the end of 2010 if you have a Maestro or Solo card at the moment.2010 - year of the troll

When you call make sure you say your card has been lost or stolen.
