I posted this post to get inputs from money savers with better experience than myself. I did not have a plan to sue. Just some advice what to do.

    Breathe in.

So far you've done nothing? The first thing you did was come to MSE? I'm guessing you're with your cousin right now?

    And breathe out.

Firstly, wash any bits of cat food out of the cut. Clean the area with some warm soapy water.

    Breathe in.

Apply a bandage if neccesary to prevent further bleeding.

    And breathe out.

Put tin in bin. Resume life as normal. Maybe, just maybe, ask Tesco for a refund on the tin.

    Breathe in.

Smack your cousin around the head for clearly failing with a tin opener.

    And breathe out.

Seriously, I wonder how some people get by in life?

Don't forget to stop breathing in and out on regular occurences or you'll die. HTH.

I stubbed my toe on the bathroom door last month. I am in the process of taking B&Q to court as there was no warning signs anywhere on the door.
I also think they should not have made them out of such tough material as wood.
I have now applied a safety cushion to the bottom of each door ( at my expense) to prevent this serious accident happening in the future.
It could quite easily have been a childs toe that was stubbed.

I have often though about taking legal action against bars that sell me alcohol as it helps to get me drunk!

What do you think my chances are???? lol

    Put a plaster on it.
    There, advice given.
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear

If you set your mind to it, I think your chances of getting drunk are quite good, but your chances of taking legal action are reduced, because it becomes very difficult to maintain consistency of intentions once you are drunk

I don't know about that. I consistently intend to snog the barmaid when I am drunk.
