    If it were me I'd have resolved the room issue before signing. If I didn't I know I'd lose out, so it's best sorted ahead.
  • The only time i had this problem was when i was a kid, me and me sister fighting over rooms, she always won because she was older:mad:
    But i would tell your house mate that she can have the 'better' room on condition she does the housework for the next month:p

    Im guessing the person you are sharing with got there first and picked that room?

    If there isnt enough difference to justify a difference in price then I suggest you just grin and bare it.

    Lifes too short to argue over things like this.

    There is a difference, both want it therefore it should be reflected in price. Discuss how much better the room is, adjust rent accordingly. Whoever wants it more, pays more, gets it. You say 'I will pay £20 a month more', they say 'I will pay £30'. It escalates til someone backs down, probably the most sensible one TBH. The fact is something is worth what someone will pay.
