key fob doesnt seem to work at once, need advice please !

  • Unfortunately the motor industry along with Doorbell and Garage Door etc manufacturers were allowed to use a frequency at low power to digitally control their products, car doors etc.
    I say unfortunately because this frequency is legally used by Radio Amateurs (70 centimeter band). The keyfob transmits below 500 milliwatts and the Amateur has permission to transmit up to 400 Watts which can be fed to a high gain aerial. So, if I'm sat here at home 525 ft above sea level overlooking most of Bolton and transmitting too close to the frequency, then half the cars in Bolton will not operate their locks until I return to receive.
    If you have a problem with your locks... first have a look around for a vehicle with aerial and someone aparently talking to themselves.
