Hi all,
Apologies if this has been discussed before but i was wondering are ebookers an ok company to book a trip to New York with?
They seem to be the cheapest, but i am a believer in 'you get what you pay for' and don't want to be ripped off.
Has anyone got any experiences with this company good or bad to share?
Thanks in advance

You should be fine with ebookers. I have used them for flight tickets before with no problems.Gone ... or have I?0

Yep, I've used ebookers loads of times before with no problems - quick tip if you have a Nectar card then you can collect points when booking0

Unfortunately ebookers no longer do nectar points, expedia do.
However, you can get cashback via https://www.quidco.com or https://www.topcashback.co.uk
Ebookers are fine for a basic trip with hotel and flight, anything more complicated I would say use a travel agent!0 -
Used ebookers for a car hire in the past and had no problems.

WARNING!
I booked flights through Ebookers in July 2009 and have had £10 a month taken from my bank account by a company called Shoppersdiscounts.co.uk - I called them and they said I signed up via Ebookers - which I didn't - seems I ticked some box on the website and that meant that I had agreed to membership of this company at a fee of £10 per month. Be very careful of the boxes you tick on the website. This is still not resolved - I wait for refunds. Other forums on here discuss the shoppersdiscount scam.0 -
I would just stick with the BIG 5 - Thomson, Thomas Cook, First Choice, Cosmos & Airtours.
The experience is there over x amount of years.Thomson 757 Man0 -

Well maybe, But what did all those 'Unfortunate' customers say when XL Airways/XL Holidays went under last year?
I wish we had booked with.....
But some customers just think quantity before quality!!
We (In the Industry) could see what was going to happen at XL Airways/Holidays, The company was in trouble for 2 years before the collapse last year.
To cut a long story, The company was disorganised and was out of it's depth.
At least with the BIG 5 you have some confidence that 99% of the time your holiday will depart on schedule and the company will deliver a good holiday for all.
We can all cut corners and try and save money - Just like the customers of XL did.Thomson 757 Man0
