anyone got astra freesat

Hi was wondering if you could get RTE Irish TV channels on the Astra 28e satellite in the UK.

Any advise on this would be appreciated as we are looking at getting it but only if we can get RTE

Thanks Chris

It used to be scrambled and you needed a Sky card and an address in Eire to get a card.
    Probably still is !

This is correct*, you need a Sky Ireland subscription to watch RTÉ on satellite.

*Ireland is correct when speaking English. Éire is the name in Irish.

OK, I get it. When I speak or write English I call Firenze - Florence, or Koln - Cologne.
What do I do with Dun Laoghaire: is it Kingstown or Dunleary ? :rotfl:

Sorry, just to correct myself - to watch RTÉ on satellite you need either a Sky Ireland subscription or a Sky UK subscription which is registered an address in Northern Ireland (hint: any address works).
