Post Office or BT

I think it's a case of better the devil you know....
We are moving and we're kinda limited in the choice of broadband. According to Samknows it seems to be the rehashed BT choices, O2 Access, Virgin (not the fibre optic one) and Post Office....
As we've had a nightmare with getting BT broadband for my mum and only after 6 weeks is it sorted thanks to a supervisor sorting out it we are reluctant to go through that again...
I have searched and there are rumours afoot that Post Office customer services is pants which is putting me off....
So out of the two which is the lesser evil.....?
